 Subject: Rare unreleased
Posted by: Beatlescollector on 11/5/09 9:47 AM

I've placed my rare Beatles "Hey Jude" acetate on auction tomorrow in Heritage Auction's Music & Entertainment Auction taking place tomorrow, Friday, November 6th.

It's the same as the commercial version of "Hey Jude" - EXCEPT it clocks in at over 12 minutes long - almost five minutes longer than the released version!

I've had this in my collection for 20 years. It's on the Allied New York acetate imprint (Allied was a well-known professional recording mastering facility back in the '60s and '70s).

I have never heard any bootleg of this, ever. It is, as far as I know, the only known copy. And I have never distributed any copies nor played it publicly to anyone, ever.

You can see it here:

entertainment.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=7011&Lot_No=49340

Current bid (as I write this) is $750 - a very fair price for something so unique and rare.

Cheers,
Rod
