| Looking for a British/Scottish radio interview from 1977 | | NaturalMystery on 3/7/10 6:31 PM | Hello all, I'm a new member here and I have a request. I'm trying to find a copy of a Paul McCartney interview from 1977. The interview was for Radio Clyde in Glasgow & Paul was interviewed by radio DJ Tiger Tim Stevens @ Abbey Road studios when Band on the run was released. The reason I'm trying to find this is because Radio Clyde have LOST the original recording & I'm trying to get a copy to Tiger Tim. Tim has battled since 1987 with Multiple Sclerosis and is now wheelchair bound. Although he still DJ's on radio he's retiring this summer after 37 years of championing ALL music, old & new. The interview is his proudest moment as a DJ and to reunite him with it would be absolutely fantastic. I know it's a HUGE ask but Beatles collecting circles are about the only logical place I can think of to ask. Someone out there in the world must have a copy of this, even the U.S. collectors here may have it, passed on by a UK friend @ some point. Thanks for Reading, and any other pointers on where else to ask would be appreciated. Also if you have it and use Twitter you can contact Tiger @tigertimstevens. Thanks again. Russ

Denny Laine was also present. No word on whether the interview is still floating around the airwaves. Frank Daniels

I had a bit of it on tape many years ago but after looking through my tapes, it looks like I taped over it with a Lennon interview round about 1981/82 ish. The stupidity of youth! I've asked in the bootleg circles incase it was on any but it looks like this is one of the rare ones. I will persevere with my quest. Russ
