| Beatles Juke Box Strips | | RadioJP on 4/10/08 10:06 AM | Is there any information on Beatles juke box strips? I believe there were a few companies that printed these (with A & B side of a specific single) in the '60's and '70's....maybe even the '80's and '90's... are these collectible? I don't recall seeing these in the price guides. Are they available? I realize there are sources out there who print these up for people today (using modern computer software) who want to stock 45 RPM jukeboxes, but I would consider the original ones more authentic and therefore more collectible. I think the original ones listed the label (be it VJ, Capitol, Apple, etc., and the catalog number). Anyone out there collect these? I don't have any, but it would be nice to have a complete set of strips for all the singles.

Kind of like the colored vinyl versions of Girl for the picture sleeve. Sure it would be nice to have them, but do they actually add to the value of the singles?
| | [Posted by RadioJP on 4/30/08 10:21 AM] No, these were not fantasy items. It makes sense that strips were included with the colored vinyl singles in the '90's, as these 45's were intended for jukeboxes only. I'm not sure who manufactured these....if it was Capitol? or some company? The strips I'm referring to were manufactured by a few different companies (Sterling Title Strip Company) (Star Title Strip Co - Pittsburgh PA). They were not intended for fans, but were used by those who used to stock jukeboxes in the '60's, '70's and '80's .

An internet search will turn up companies that will custom print any title. They are an add on and therefore cannot be considered part of the original package. They are a nice addition, however, and I have ordered a set of 31 for my Beatles jukebox collection. I bought both complete series from Musicmachine in the 90's when they came out. No title strips were included with any of them; Love Me Do and Norwegian Wood as well.
