 Subject: George Harrison's Sitar
Posted by: Willie on 3/4/10 10:28 AM

Has anyone seen the posting on ebay where someone is selling a sitar for $5000.00 claiming it belonged to George Harrison and that it was used by Harrison to write alot of his best songs, but in the posting the seller doesn't mention anything else except the fact that it belonged to Harrison. I asked the seller if he had any proof that it belonged to George Harrison, maybe I'm wrong but I would imagine that something as rare as this would go for alot more than $5000.00 I see autographs from the Beatles sell for more, this is a unique and rare piece. Thanks.

Hey Willie...Yeah,...I've seen it....too funny! Harrison had a thing for
giving away some of his guitars to friends and fellow musicians...but if this WAS Harrisons' sitar...you can bet that it would be more then $5,000!!! This guy has no feedback...he's just looking to pick up some easy money..and vanish off into the night!!! If this WAS real...you'd contact one of the major auction houses to get the most money!!
